Remodeling in Woburn, MA
Woburn is about ten to fifteen minutes from our Wakefield base, west along Route 128. It's a city with a long industrial past and a wide spread of housing, so the first thing we do at an estimate is figure out what kind of house we're standing in and what's likely behind the walls. A 19th-century house and a later colonial need very different prep and planning.
In Woburn we take on kitchens and bathrooms, interior and exterior painting, drywall installation and repair, basement finishing and decks. Every job starts with a free in-home estimate and a written price and schedule, so you can compare it honestly against anyone else you're talking to. On the job, we protect your floors, clean up daily and price any change before it happens, so the job stays where you expected it to be.

From tannery-era housing to trolley-line neighborhoods
Woburn grew on leather. The Massachusetts Historical Commission's survey of the city describes tanneries along the Aberjona River, a workers' district in the low ground around the center, and larger houses along North Main Street toward Central Square. It notes North Woburn kept an affluent residential district, while Montvale and the Woburn Highlands grew up along the trolley lines, which is why the city's housing changes so much from one neighborhood to the next.
That history means two houses a mile apart can be built very differently. In the oldest homes, expect plaster, settled floors and paint layers that need lead-safe handling. In later neighborhoods, the usual projects are a dated kitchen or bath, a basement that could be real living space, or a deck that's past its life. We check moisture before finishing any basement, because a dry space comes first.
Permits in Woburn
Woburn's Inspectional Services Department handles building, plumbing and electrical permitting and code enforcement, and the Building Commissioner enforces the city's zoning ordinance. The city lists decks, additions, roofing, siding and sheds among work that needs a building permit, with ordinary repairs the exception. Plumbing and electrical permits are pulled by the licensed trades doing that work. We tell you what your project needs at the estimate.

Reviews From Our Satisfied Clients
Marcio scheduled a visit to my home and we went through the renovation I was looking to have done in our master bathroom. After providing us the final estimate we scheduled demo and his team arrived promptly to start their work. They did a good job covering the bedroom items to avoid dust which helped quite a bit. During construction Marcio kept me informed the entire time and we made a couple minor changes to the scope of work without any issues… Overall, Marcio was a great contractor to work with at a good price.
Marcio was WONDERFUL! He guided us through the process of choosing the best paint option for our fence. There was open communication throughout the process and flexibility in scheduling. Our end result is just as we were hoping for, a power washed and beautifully painted black fence… We will be reaching out to Marcio for all future house projects!
Excellent work installing my kitchen backsplash. Good attention to detail. They covered my floors for protection and thoroughly cleaned up when done. I will also have him do my 1/2 bath as well.
Marcio and his team did an amazing job with our bathroom remodel! Very detailed oriented and went above and beyond! Also did a great job installing some doors for us! I highly recommend them!
The drywall work they did in our living room was flawless. The walls are smooth, and they even helped us with some minor repairs we hadn’t noticed before. Great service and very affordable.
Marcio and his team are the real deal! Super professional and quick turnaround for services provided. Will definitely do business with again in the future and will likely use them for all my remodeling needs. Thanks again MR Construction Revolutions for my bathroom remodeling.
Questions from Woburn homeowners
Yes. Woburn is about ten to fifteen minutes from our Wakefield base, and we work all over the city, from North Woburn and Montvale to Central Square and the Highlands. Call (781) 866-1835 or send the appointment form, and we'll come out, measure and give you a written price and schedule.
If you're rebuilding or replacing it, almost certainly. Woburn's Inspectional Services lists decks among the work that requires a building permit. Swapping a few rotted boards may count as ordinary repair, and the city suggests calling a building inspector if you're unsure. We'll look at the framing and tell you which situation you're in.
Yes. Before talking about finishes, we look for signs of water: stains, efflorescence on the foundation, a musty smell. If the space isn't dry, fix that first or the new walls won't last. Finishing a basement as living space generally needs a building permit, and any electrical or plumbing is done and permitted by licensed trades.
Yes, mostly in the prep. Older walls and floors are rarely flat, and trim and cabinets need fitting time to look right. Paint from before 1978 may contain lead, which changes how we sand and clean up. We price that work openly at the estimate so it doesn't show up later as an extra charge.
