Remodeling in Stoneham, MA
Stoneham sits between Wakefield and the Middlesex Fells, a short drive west of our base. We work in both kinds of homes the town has plenty of: single-family houses on the side streets and condos in the larger complexes. The work is different in each. A house gives you room to change layouts; a condo usually means working inside the walls you have and following the association's rules.
Either way, the basics don't change. We remodel kitchens and bathrooms, paint inside and out, repair and install drywall, and build decks. Whether it's a condo bath or a whole house, we start by telling you what the job really involves. You get a written price and a schedule before we start, the same crew shows up each day, and any change is priced before it happens, so the final number is the number you agreed to.
Our services in Stoneham
Condo kitchens and baths that stay within association rules, house remodels with more room to move things, and decks, which the town treats as permitted work.

Older houses, plenty of condos, and the costs of age
Stoneham's mix is less single-family than its neighbors. A 2022 comparison in Wakefield's Housing Production Plan puts Stoneham at about 56 percent single-family and 44 percent multi-family units. At a November 2025 Planning Board meeting on Stoneham's own housing plan, the presenter noted that about 95 percent of the town's housing was built before 2000, and that this brings maintenance and energy costs with it.
In practice, a lot of Stoneham remodel requests are about catching up on age: a bathroom from the 1980s or earlier, a kitchen with worn cabinets and laminate counters, ceilings with old patches. Not everything needs replacing. Solid cabinet boxes can often be refinished or refaced, and a fresh vanity, fixtures and tile can change a bathroom without moving any plumbing. We'll tell you where the money actually matters.
Permits in Stoneham
Stoneham's Building Department at 35 Central Street issues building permits, and applications are filed online through the town's OpenGov portal. The town lists decks, roofing, siding, additions and sheds among the work that needs one. Plumbing, gas and electrical permits are pulled by the licensed trades doing that work. At the estimate we tell you which permits apply and how they fit into the schedule.

Reviews From Our Satisfied Clients
Marcio scheduled a visit to my home and we went through the renovation I was looking to have done in our master bathroom. After providing us the final estimate we scheduled demo and his team arrived promptly to start their work. They did a good job covering the bedroom items to avoid dust which helped quite a bit. During construction Marcio kept me informed the entire time and we made a couple minor changes to the scope of work without any issues… Overall, Marcio was a great contractor to work with at a good price.
Marcio was WONDERFUL! He guided us through the process of choosing the best paint option for our fence. There was open communication throughout the process and flexibility in scheduling. Our end result is just as we were hoping for, a power washed and beautifully painted black fence… We will be reaching out to Marcio for all future house projects!
Excellent work installing my kitchen backsplash. Good attention to detail. They covered my floors for protection and thoroughly cleaned up when done. I will also have him do my 1/2 bath as well.
Marcio and his team did an amazing job with our bathroom remodel! Very detailed oriented and went above and beyond! Also did a great job installing some doors for us! I highly recommend them!
The drywall work they did in our living room was flawless. The walls are smooth, and they even helped us with some minor repairs we hadn’t noticed before. Great service and very affordable.
Marcio and his team are the real deal! Super professional and quick turnaround for services provided. Will definitely do business with again in the future and will likely use them for all my remodeling needs. Thanks again MR Construction Revolutions for my bathroom remodeling.
Questions from Stoneham homeowners
Yes. Stoneham is about ten minutes from our Wakefield base, so estimates and follow-up visits are easy to schedule. We work in single-family homes and in condos. Call (781) 866-1835 or send the appointment form and we'll come out, measure and give you a written price and timeline.
Yes. The town lists decks among the projects that require a building permit, along with roofing, siding and sheds. The permit application covers framing, footings and how the deck attaches to the house, and inspections follow. We include the permit in the plan and schedule so you aren't left sorting it out after the deck is already designed.
Yes. Most associations have rules about work hours, elevator or hallway protection, insurance certificates and anything that touches shared plumbing. Read your condo documents or ask the manager before we start, and we'll supply the insurance certificate they usually want. Keeping the toilet, tub and sink in place makes the project faster and simpler.
The town's guidance follows the state building code: a permit becomes invalid if work doesn't start within 180 days of issue, and extensions have to be requested in writing. That's one reason we don't pull permits far ahead of a start date. We time the application so the work begins well inside that window.
