About MR Construction Revolutions
We remodel kitchens and bathrooms, paint interiors and exteriors, and install and repair drywall and plaster. Those four services cover most projects, and because we do all of them, one crew can handle a job that touches several rooms.
Since 2008. We've spent more than fifteen years remodeling homes in Wakefield and the surrounding towns.
We're based in Wakefield, Massachusetts, in Middlesex County, and work across the towns north of Boston and into southern New Hampshire.
Yes. MR Construction Revolutions is fully licensed and insured. Ask us for a certificate of insurance at your estimate and we'll provide it.

Estimates, cost & payment
Yes. We come to your home, look at the space, measure, and talk through your options and what it should cost. There's no charge and no obligation.
Call (781) 866-1835, email constructionrevolutions@gmail.com, or fill out the form on our appointment page. We'll call you back to set a time.
Yes. After the estimate you get a written quote and a schedule, before you commit to anything.
It depends on the size of the room, the materials you choose and whether anything moves, like plumbing, walls or the layout. We don't quote over the phone because the right number depends on what we see in your home. The in-home estimate is free and gives you a real, written price.
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, debit cards, cash, check, Venmo and Cash App.
You can. We'll tell you right away how the change affects the price and the schedule, and nothing changes until you agree.
Kitchen remodeling
It depends on the size and scope. A cabinet, countertop and backsplash replacement moves much faster than a full gut with layout changes. Countertops are templated after cabinets go in, which adds time between steps. At your free estimate we give you a written schedule so you know what to expect each week.
For most of the project, no. We'll help you plan a temporary setup with the fridge and a microwave in another room, and we keep the work area sealed off and cleaned up each day.
If the project moves walls, plumbing, gas or electrical, yes. Replacing cabinets and counters in the same spot usually needs less. We tell you exactly what your town requires and guide you through it. In Massachusetts, plumbing and electrical permits are pulled by the licensed plumber or electrician doing that work.
Yes. Design guidance is part of every remodel. We help you work out the layout, cabinet style, countertop material, backsplash tile and lighting so it fits your budget.
If the cabinet boxes are solid and the layout works for you, refacing or painting can save a lot. If the boxes are damaged, sagging or the layout is the problem, replacing them is the better use of your money. We'll tell you honestly which one your kitchen needs.
Yes. We handle countertops, backsplash tile, flooring, trim and paint as part of the same job, so you don't have to hire separate trades.
Bathroom remodeling
A straightforward bathroom remodel usually takes a few weeks from demo to final walkthrough. Tile work, waterproofing cure times and glass doors (which are measured after tile is set) set the pace. We give you a written schedule at the estimate.
Yes. We remove the tub, rough in the new valve and drain, waterproof the walls and floor, tile it and finish with a glass door or panel.
Most bathroom remodels that change plumbing or electrical need permits, and in Massachusetts those are pulled by the licensed plumber or electrician. Cosmetic work like a new vanity in the same spot or new tile usually needs less. We tell you what your town requires.
Not while the main work is underway. If it's your only bathroom, tell us at the estimate and we'll plan the schedule to keep the time without a working toilet as short as possible.
Large-format porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, glass and stone mosaics, marble hex, patterned cement-look tile and plank tile. You can see all of these in the projects on this page.
If the tub is solid and you like its size and shape, reglazing or a new tiled surround can be the smart move. If it's chipped, rusting or you want a walk-in shower, replace it. We'll give you both options at the estimate.
Interior & exterior painting
Late spring through early fall, when temperatures stay above what the paint manufacturer requires day and night and the siding is dry. We schedule exterior work around the weather so the paint cures properly.
Yes. We move and cover furniture, lay protection on floors and stairs, and mask fixtures before we start. You can see the floor protection in our project photos.
Usually a primer or spot-prime where needed and two finish coats. Strong color changes or bare surfaces can need more. We tell you at the estimate.
Homes built before 1978 may have lead paint. Federal and Massachusetts rules set lead-safe work practices for renovation and painting that disturbs those surfaces. Ask us at your estimate how we'll handle the painted surfaces in your home.
Yes. We'll help you narrow down colors and finishes, and we recommend testing samples on your walls in your own light before you decide.
Yes. Trim, doors, railings, built-ins and tall stairwells are a big part of interior painting, and they're where clean cut lines show the most.
Drywall & plaster
Yes. We match smooth walls, and we can blend patches into textured or plaster walls so the repair doesn't stand out after paint.
Joint compound needs to dry between coats, so even small repairs usually take more than one visit: patch, coat, sand and paint. Larger rooms take several days.
Yes, once the source of the leak has been fixed. We cut out the damaged drywall, check that everything behind it is dry, and replace, tape, finish and paint it.
If the plaster is still firmly attached to the lath, repairing and skim-coating it usually costs less and keeps the character of an older home. If it's loose or crumbling, replacing that section with drywall is often the better choice.
Yes. We're painters too, so we prime and paint the repair or the whole room and hand it back finished.
Yes. We install and finish drywall for basements, additions and remodels.
Permits, licensing & older homes
It depends on the work. Projects that move walls or change plumbing, gas or electrical usually need permits. Painting and most cosmetic work don't. We'll tell you what your town requires and guide you through it.
In Massachusetts, plumbing and gas permits are pulled by a licensed plumber or gas fitter and electrical permits by a licensed electrician. We coordinate those trades as part of your project.
Ask for proof of insurance, their Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration, and a Construction Supervisor License if the work is structural. Get the price, the scope and the schedule in writing.
It can. Homes built before 1978 may have lead paint, and federal and Massachusetts rules require lead-safe practices when renovation, painting or drywall work disturbs those painted surfaces. Bring it up at your estimate so the plan covers it.
Yes. Design guidance is part of every project. We help you choose tile, cabinets, countertops, paint colors and finishes that fit your style and your budget.

Yes. Wakefield is home base, but we regularly work across Middlesex County, in Boston, and in southern New Hampshire. If your town isn't listed, call and ask.
Our focus is homes, but we also take on renovation work for businesses and property owners. Tell us about the project and we'll let you know if it's a fit.
Reviews From Our Satisfied Clients
Marcio scheduled a visit to my home and we went through the renovation I was looking to have done in our master bathroom. After providing us the final estimate we scheduled demo and his team arrived promptly to start their work. They did a good job covering the bedroom items to avoid dust which helped quite a bit. During construction Marcio kept me informed the entire time and we made a couple minor changes to the scope of work without any issues… Overall, Marcio was a great contractor to work with at a good price.
Marcio was WONDERFUL! He guided us through the process of choosing the best paint option for our fence. There was open communication throughout the process and flexibility in scheduling. Our end result is just as we were hoping for, a power washed and beautifully painted black fence… We will be reaching out to Marcio for all future house projects!
Excellent work installing my kitchen backsplash. Good attention to detail. They covered my floors for protection and thoroughly cleaned up when done. I will also have him do my 1/2 bath as well.
Marcio and his team did an amazing job with our bathroom remodel! Very detailed oriented and went above and beyond! Also did a great job installing some doors for us! I highly recommend them!
The drywall work they did in our living room was flawless. The walls are smooth, and they even helped us with some minor repairs we hadn’t noticed before. Great service and very affordable.
Marcio and his team are the real deal! Super professional and quick turnaround for services provided. Will definitely do business with again in the future and will likely use them for all my remodeling needs. Thanks again MR Construction Revolutions for my bathroom remodeling.
